I am a Full Clinical Member of UKCP, the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (No. 2011183271) and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP - No. 00886838).
I undertook my psychotherapy and counselling training at The Minster Centre in London, which is affiliated with Middlesex University. This institution is recognized as the UK’s leading centre for Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. I hold an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, a Bachelor's degree in Law, and an MBA. Additionally, I completed my Foundation Certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at WPF in London.
As a trained integrative psychotherapist, I draw from various approaches to therapy, tailoring my methods to best suit your individual needs. My expertise includes Psychodynamic and Relational Psychotherapy, focusing on how past experiences and unconscious elements of the psyche influence the present. Together, we will explore how these dynamics manifest in our therapeutic relationship and in your other relationships. Much of our experience is rooted in the unconscious mind, and in our sessions, we will strive to uncover aspects that may not be immediately apparent, including your dreams and spontaneous thoughts.
My training also encompassed elements of humanistic psychotherapy and existential psychotherapy. In practice, this means I engage with you with kindness and compassion, while also encouraging you to explore different perspectives and your own ability to enact change. Existential psychotherapy delves into life’s fundamental questions and the search for meaning, allowing us to peel back the layers to gain deeper understanding and freedom.
With extensive life experience, I have spent many years as a senior manager in the not-for-profit sector, where I was involved in running charities that provided services to support individuals with health, social care, and special educational needs. Although I now focus solely on my private practice, I previously worked within university, NHS, and local community counselling services, and during my training, I spent three years working for Apple.
My work is conducted within the UKCP Code of Ethics and the BACP Ethical Framework.
